Life is a unique experience for every one of us. Therefore, there is no one solution to treat the discomforts and challenges we face, even if the conditions or symptoms are the same. This is what makes the therapeutic relationship so important, and why I work with you and tailor your treatment accordingly. Healing is an organic and dynamic process, and your needs may change over time. We can work together to keep the healing process moving forward.

The therapeutic process is not always comfortable. It requires a desire for change and commitment from you in order for therapy to be successful. While the work may become uncomfortable, my role is to support you through the process of change to help you reach your goals. This may include reflection, empathy, and new tools; however, as with many things, what you get out of therapy depends on the effort you put in. I cannot “fix” you, because you are not broken. You may be hurt, and together, we can heal that hurt.

As your therapist, I will:

  1. Keep your well-being and growth as my primary focus in your treatment.
  2. Be honest.
  3. Maintain your confidentiality to the best of my ability, barring legal and ethical exceptions as follows:

Safety: As a mandated reporter, I must report any reasonable suspicion of:

  • child abuse or neglect
  • elder/dependent adult abuse or neglect
  • imminent threats of danger by you

I may also breach confidentiality in order to protect your own safety, or as required by a court of law.

While I currently am not on any insurance panels, I would be happy to provide you with a superbill/payment record for you to submit to insurance companies for reimbursement.

If you have any questions or would like to discuss services for your situation with me, please give me a call at 408-418-6638. If I cannot answer, please leave a message and I will return your call as soon as possible.

Working with people who have gone or are going through divorce holds a special place in my heart. There are nuances at play that differentiate divorce from other breakups, which not everyone understands. Divorce does not make you a failure, nor does it mean you have to be alone.
